Farmers Santa Parade starts at 2.00pm, Sunday 25th November 2012.
The Parade Route is 2.2kms long and takes approximately 1 hour to pass any given point. The Parade ends at approximately 3.30pm with Santa’s Party from 3.15pm to 5.15pm in Aotea Square.
Rain Date
If the weather is terrible a cancellation will be announced on Newstalk ZB after 10am on Sunday 25th November 2012. The Parade will go ahead in light rain. The Parade rain date is Sunday 2nd December 2012.
Free Parking
Parking is available at the following Auckland Transport Park Right Car Parks:
- Downtown
- K’Road
- Victoria Street
(Parking will be FREE for vehicles exiting between the hours of 12 noon and 6pm, please check www.aucklandtransport.govt.nz/moving-around/parking for hours of operation)
Road Closure
All inner city roads are closed between 12.00pm and 4pm on Sunday 25th November 2012. People are advised to get into the city before 12 noon to avoid frustration with traffic and parking.
Wheelchair Access
An area is available in front of the Scenic Hotel at 380 Queen Street for wheelchairs. Phone (09) 377 6192 or email Jennah Butt to get a pass. These are available up until 5pm on Friday 23rd November.
The BIG little city blue ‘honour’ line
This line will be painted along the Parade route. The Police ask that all Parade spectators stay behind the line while watching the Parade!

Parade Collection
Collectors for the Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand will ask the waiting crowds prior to the start of the Parade for a gold coin donation. So please bring a gold coin and make a donation.
